Cheese Scones

Your oven ought to be at 200C.

Chop butter into the flour, get your fingers into it and squeeze it all through till the mixture is coarse and chunky. Add the rest of the dry ingredients then use a knife to mix in milk.

Gently shape stiff mixture on a floured board or the bench top, cut into the right size chunks (up to you) and place on baking paper on a cold oven tray. Bake for about 12 minutes.

Got some boys coming over to watch rugby? These will go down beautiful heavily buttered with a Speights.

Cheese Scones - what do you reckon?

  • These are the best, I made them and every woman wanted the recipe, but no way, I kept it secret.

  • Bloody Great, but I noticed that 'Doreen' just posted a comment. Since when was that a blokes name?! You wouldn't be allowed to play for the All Blacks, same rules appliy here. You're banned! get out back and mow the lawns 5 times. Blimen' heck is there nothing that we Blokes can call our own anymore!
