Mars Bar Bubble Slice

Chop the Mars bars up into bite sized pieces and then melt with the butter over a low heat. And I mean LOW. The caramel stuff in the mars bars doesn't melt as well as everything else but with some stirring the whole lot should go gluggy after a while.

Pour in the Rice Bubbles and stir through till it's all mixed together well.

Turn it out into a baking tray. One of those shallow ones is best or a square cake tin if you don't have one of those. Pack it down good and tight and make sure it's even.

Then stick it in the fridge until it goes hard and cut it up into whatever sized slices you feel like scoffing.

Mars Bar Bubble Slice - what do you reckon?

  • This is even better when you add melted chocolate on top - generally I melt a king size block of dairy milk with about 25g of butter

  • We make something similar at work....I nuke the mars bars with the butter for a couple of minutes. The bars hold thier shape until you stir the microwaved goodness together....have not burnt any yet!

  • This is the simplest things in the world to make and yet sooooooo damn tasty! Not good if your worried about your waist line, but it's too good not to try at least once.

  • I know this is GOOD from all the times that I have made it in the past. Now my friends are demanding it from me as their Christmas presents!

  • Hey... These are great! So as not to risk burning the chocolate of caramel I filled a saucepan with boiling water and put a smaller saucepan over the top and melted the mars bars in that :)
